Project KalOmega
With Project KalOmega Grundfos BioBooster becomes an important part of Norwegian pharmaceutical company Pronova BioPharma’s new manufacturing plant in Kalundborg, Denmark. The Grundfos BioBooster turnkey installation comprises biological and chemical pre-treatment of the wastewater prior to discharge to the municipal treatment plant.
This represents the most cost-efficient solution for Pronova BioPharma due to the high contents of fatty acids in the Omacor/Lovaza capsules, which are derived from fish oil.
Grundfos BioBooster's fast implementation of the treatment plant is made possible only because of the pre-fabricated components – which constitute a valuable cornerstone in modern wastewater management.
