Poland is in many ways an interesting wastewater treatment market. With an extended transition period to implement the European IPPC Directive (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) coupled with a stream of EU funding, investment in wastewater infrastructure is gradually taking shape and form.
Tomasz Kijowski, Grundfos BioBooster’s new Regional Manager for East-Central Europe, adds: ”In the past, wastewater treatment regulation in Poland has not been restrictive enough. Nowadays the option for onsite wastewater treatment is gradually becoming more plausible due to greater awareness. We believe the Polish market will be in the lead when it comes to utilising EU funding to improve overall infrastructure. With our newly established presence on the Polish market, Grundfos BioBooster is certain to deliver a value offering that will help the process industry manage their wastewater in the light of ever-tightening regulations.”
Poland is by far among the European countries best at making use of the financial schemes made available by the European Union.
